new info

Well I got back from the ACSM Health & Fitness Summit yesterday.  I will try to get out some information.  Of course I am now behind in my work and a quiz on Tuesday.  Well greatest thrivers you are starting to gear down.  The most important final combination on losing weight and keep it off includes all three factors.  One must reduce calories.  One must do cardio and that can be as simple as 3 days per week of 20 min vigorous workout.  One must also do strength training and the minimum appears to be twice weekly and those need to be 3 days apart.  So if you are in a rut please try to do the minimum.  By the way there does not appear to be good articles out yet on weight loss and internet support groups.  You are on the cutting edge.  Please help us keep this going.  Doc

Brief Introduction

We have attempted in Henry County Indiana east of Indianapolis to invite and preview members of our county in a wellness/preventive mode. We have given them trainers for eight months. In exchange they must allow others to view their progress in a public mode. This is our third year at this endeavor. It is sponsored by the Henry County Health Department, the local YMCA and Henry County Hospital Forest Ridge Center. As of February we are encouraging or members to join the internet age of ecommunication. I invite you to follow all or just one to ask questions and offer encouragement. Since I am a physician, my replys may be slow. Please bear with me. Nate who is greatestthriverhome is in charge of the program. We are open to suggestions. Wellness for all is our goal.
